Actually Read Later is a Chrome extension. This privacy policy explains what data the extension handles and how it is used.
Actually Read Later stores your reading list data locally on your device using chrome.storage.local.
Nothing is sent to any server.
There is no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.
The extension stores the information you choose to save for your own reading list, such as page titles, page URLs, highlighted text snippets, categories or tags, reading status, enjoyment rating, and dates for when items were saved or updated.
This data is stored only on your device in Chrome extension local storage (chrome.storage.local).
Your data is used only to provide the extension features, including saving pages and highlights, enforcing the list limit, managing and categorising saved items, and randomly picking an item to read.
Actually Read Later does not send your data to any server, use cloud storage, collect analytics, track your activity across websites, use advertising trackers, or sell/share your data with third parties.
The extension may use Chrome permissions such as storage, tabs, activeTab, scripting, and contextMenus only to support core features like saving pages, saving selected text, and managing your reading list.
These permissions are used locally within your browser.
Your saved items remain stored locally on your device until you delete them from the extension or uninstall the extension.
Actually Read Later does not use third party analytics, advertising, or backend services.
If you install the extension through the Chrome Web Store, Google may collect information under its own policies. That is separate from this extension.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and the effective date will be updated.
